About the Author
Jason George Waters was born in 1974 to Francis and Sandra Waters, middle-class farmers. He began working on the family farm at a young age and continued until his father had to sell the farm.
Throughout his childhood, Jason was extensively bullied by classmates for his feminine mannerisms and soft voice. Without friends, he spent much of his time getting lost in books.
In high school, his English teacher encouraged him to keep writing, praising his storytelling ability and joking that she could see a slight influence of Stephen King in his stories.
In 1993, he graduated from high school. He then worked at a bicycle factory for six years before attending Illinois State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. While studying full-time, he also worked at a local dry cleaner. After graduating in 2006, he obtained a job at State Farm Bank, continuing to work part-time at the dry cleaner until he moved to California.
In 2008, he made a significant leap and moved to California. Upon arriving in Los Angeles, he had no place to live or job, but he had potential housing options and a few job interviews lined up.
In September 2008, he secured a job with a State Farm agent, where he worked for five years before working for several other agents. In October 2015, he accepted a position at Kaiser Permanente in Burbank.
In 2021, he graduated with an MBA from the University of North Carolina Pembroke, with a concentration in healthcare.
Jason finished writing his first book in August 2016. He currently resides in Southern California, where he is editing book two and writing book three. He also works at Kaiser Permanente as a National Account Manager and seizes every opportunity to travel and see the world.
